瓦锡兰出席2021双碳发展研讨会,助力中国减排

 Wartsila attended the 2021 Seminar on Dual Carbon Development to help China reduce emissions

2022年1月7日,由中国能源报主办的“2021碳达峰碳中和路径研讨暨高质量发展创新案例发布会”(以下简称“研讨会”)在北京正式召开。芬兰科技集团瓦锡兰(Wärtsilä)作为“双碳”高质量发展技术创新解决方案” 和“低碳创新社会责任企业“倡议书的发起方之一,和国家电网以及泰山核电一起承办了本次研讨会。

On January 7, 2022, the "2021 Carbon Peak Carbon Neutralization Path Seminar and High-quality Development Innovation Case Conference" (hereinafter referred to as the "Seminar") was officially held in Beijing, sponsored by China Energy News. Finnish technology group Wartsila, as one of the initiators of the proposal of "Dual carbon" high quality development technology innovation solutions and "low carbon innovation social responsibility enterprise", hosted the seminar together with State Grid and Taishan Nuclear Power.

据BP发布的《世界能源统计年鉴(第70版)》数据显示:2020年受全球新冠肺炎影响, 全球碳排放量下降至322亿吨,中国碳排放总量达100亿吨,约占全球总量的30%,排名第一。由此可见,实现碳中和已迫在眉睫。

According to the statistical Yearbook of World Energy (70th Edition) released by BP, global carbon emissions dropped to 32.2 billion tons in 2020 due to the impact of COVID-19. China's total carbon emissions reached 10 billion tons, accounting for about 30% of the global total, ranking first. Thus, it is urgent to achieve carbon neutrality.

未来十年,中国能源行业将发生重大变化。可再生能源将大幅降低中国对煤炭的依赖。

Accelerated deployment of RE within China’s energy system is absolutely possible with the flexible energy technologies which are already available now. Wärtsilä is confident in China’s ability to promote the development of clean and low-carbon energy in the future. At the same time, we also see huge opportunities brought by the rapid development of renewable energy. China’s power system flexibility transformation is about to enter an essential stage and can bring considerable economic and environmental benefits. Next, the application of flexible ICE power generation and energy storage system will better ensure the stability and reliability of the power grid, so as to drive China’s economy to green and low-carbon transformation, promoting the transition from high-speed growth to high-quality growth.

利用现有的灵活能源技术,加速在中国能源系统内部署可再生能源是绝对可能的。瓦锡兰相信中国有能力在未来推动清洁低碳能源的发展。同时,我们也看到了可再生能源的快速发展带来的巨大机遇。中国电力系统的灵活性改造即将进入关键阶段,能够带来可观的经济效益和环境效益。其次,灵活的内燃机发电和储能系统的应用可以更好地保证电网的稳定性和可靠性,从而推动中国经济向绿色低碳转型,推动中国经济从高速增长向高质量增长的转变。

Wärtsilä has recently committed to new decarbonisation targets that we refer to as "Set for 30". In a nutshell: by 2030, our goal is to become carbon neutral in our own operations and to provide a product portfolio that will be ready for zero-carbon fuels. Our aim is to support our customers on their decarbonisation journey, thereby shaping a sustainable future for the marine and energy sectors. The "Set for 30" climate targets also demonstrate our commitment to our Purpose of enabling sustainable societies through innovation in technology and services.

We also provide our support to the customers in the low carbon development. With a deep understanding of the energy transition and power systems, we help our customers finding their optimal and most efficient path towards 100% renewable energy, while future-proofing their power system. We have done 145 power system studies.

For low carbon development in energy sector, as our Wärtsilä Energy President, Sushil Purohit said, “it is technically and commercially feasible with technologies that are already available at scale”. These technologies include:

Wind and solar photovoltaic (PV) as the main sources of primary energy.

Short-duration battery energy storage.

Flexible thermal balancing power plants to provide firm and dispatchable capacity.

Sustainable fuels used in thermal balancing power plants, forming long-term energy storage. (Sustainable fuels include green hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels, such as ammonia, methanol and synthetic methane produced from renewable sources).

用于火电平衡发电厂的可持续燃料,形成长期的储能。(可持续燃料包括绿色氢和氢基燃料,如从可再生资源中产生的氨、甲醇和合成甲烷)。

The falling prices of renewables allow China to grow green installation rapidly, as we can see, by having additional wind of 71.6GW and solar of 48.2GW in 2020.

While China's development of renewable currently develops rapidly, the insufficient flexibility and insufficient adjustment capabilities of the grid will cause challenges. These problems restrict China's development of a higher proportion and larger scale of renewable energy. The key to the development of renewable energy is to increase the energy storage and peak shaving capacity of the grid.

随着中国可再生能源发展迅速,电网在灵活性和调整能力方面的不足将给电网带来巨大的挑战。这些问题制约了中国发展可再生能源的比例和规模。因此发展可再生能源的关键就是要提高储能和电网的调峰能力。

Wärtsilä’s flexible fast starting gas-fired ICE power plants and battery storage solutions can play an important role by filling any gap in power supply and providing peak regulation, reducing coal dependence and subsequently CO2 emissions.

在填补电力供应的缺口、提供调峰调频服务、减少对煤炭的依赖以及二氧化碳减排方面,瓦锡兰灵活的、可以快速启动的燃气内燃机电厂和电池储能解决方案可以起到重要的作用。

Especially, the faster ramp-up and ramp-down rate of ICE power plants will enable the power system to meet the need for short-term rapid response when the energy supply does not match demand. Furthermore, the fast ramping, starting and response of gas-fired ICE solution are better option to serve ancillary market.

特别是内燃机电厂更快的增减速率可以确保电力系统在供需不匹配的情况下能够短期快速响应,满足需求。此外,对于辅助市场的服务来说,燃气内燃机解决方案可以快速爬坡、启动和响应,因此是更好的选择。

Eventually, the ICE power plants can switch to synthetic fuels to further contribute to carbon neutrality by 2060, while supporting China’s power system which is key to the nation’s strong economic growth.

将来,内燃机发电厂可以转而使用合成燃料,为2060年中国实现碳中和做出贡献,与此同时内燃机发电厂可以支持中国的电力系统,为中国经济的强劲增长做出贡献。
